Acer Aspire 1 A114
Design and built
One thing is certain: the Acer Aspire 1 A114-33 isn't a light laptop. It's a big piece of equipment to carry, about 1.9kg. It's also rather thick, coming in a little under 20mm. After all, it is a pretty low-cost laptop.
Keyboard and mouse
In this day and age, a solid typing experience isn't that uncommon in a budget laptop, but Acer still deserves credit for producing such a wonderful device.
Screen and sound
IPS panels will do at this price point since TN panels can sometimes be found, even with HD resolution. The Acer Aspire 1 (A114-33) possesses a 14-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution.
Performance
Acer UK offers a single option of the Acer Aspire 1 A114-33 with a 1.1GHz quad-core Intel Pentium Silver N6000 CPU. I've also seen a few less expensive models with a dual-core Intel Celeron N4500 or N4020 processor.
Battery life
The Acer Aspire 1 excels on all fronts when it comes to battery life. Acer promises that a single charge would last eight hours, which matches my experience.
